The importance of breath…

Breathe

Did you remember to breathe today? I don’t mean just to survive without even thinking about it. I mean did you stop and take a couple good deep breaths from your core and let it out with thought and purpose? Need some help on how to breathe effectively take a look at the is great article.

Importance of Breath

Breathing is important for two reasons. It is the only means to supply our bodies and its various organs with the supply of oxygen which is vital for our survival. The second function of breathing is that it is one means to get rid of waste products and toxins from the body.

Short week or not it’s hard to get out the door

Good Morning

If your morning started off anything like ours we were all a little groggy getting up and getting started. It’s getting back into routine that sometimes not bring out the best in any of us. Here is a great article I found regarding judging people. When we are not at the top of our game we attract the not so lovely behaviours and thoughts. So here’s to making today a terrific Tuesday. Take the day and make it something fantastic.

Inspiration: Do not judge to quickly.

Positive Thoughts

Sometimes people are quick
to judge others,
when what you see
isn’t really all there.

People have different moods
different personalities
different desires,
so what you’re really seeing
is only a mask,
of what others want you to see.

On the inside,
we all have the same desires,
a kind smile,
a warm heart,
a tender soul,
all wanting to be reached
on the inside.

We’re all not perfect,
only human,
we’ll have ups and downs
like a merry-go-round,
we’ll make many mistakes.

But just remember,
the next time you see a person,
do not judge whats on
the outside,
we could be having a bad day.

Try and see on the inside,
and you will see,
the kind smile,
the warm heart,
the tender soul,
reaching out….

Take the Pledge to Transform Child and Youth Mental Health Services

Such an important topic for everyone with children regardless of their abilities. Please take a look at this pledge courtesy of PCMH (Parents for Childrens Mental Health) and pass it on to everyone you know. We can all together make a very big difference.

Take the Pledge to Transform Child and Youth Mental Health Services

The Pledge for Child and Youth Mental Health asks voters and candidates in the October 6th Provincial Election to endorse principles and practical steps that will lead to the comprehensive reform of child and youth mental health services in Ontario.

There is a crisis of child and youth mental health services in Ontario. Five out of six children with mental health problems (83%) do not receive any professional help at all. Existing services are inadequate, underfunded and inconsistently delivered from one community to the next.

Experts and advisory groups agree that “a radical transformation of mental health and addictions care is necessary if Ontarians are to get the care they need and deserve.” By signing the Pledge, you are helping to increase public awareness and building political support for comprehensive reform of mental health services for children, youth and their families.

To take the pledge please go to PCMH.
